About AnimeRareFinds
Our passion for anime treasures and the story behind our collection
Our Story
Founded in 2018, AnimeRareFinds began as a passion project by Yuki Tanaka, a lifelong anime enthusiast who spent years traveling throughout Japan hunting for rare collectibles and limited-edition manga volumes.
What started as a personal collection soon grew into a mission to connect collectors worldwide with authentic, hard-to-find anime treasures that might otherwise remain undiscovered outside of Japan.
Today, our team of dedicated specialists travels regularly to Japan, attending exclusive events, auctions, and connecting with industry insiders to source truly unique items for our discerning clientele.
With our gallery in London and our online presence, we've helped thousands of collectors find their own special pieces of anime history, from vintage cels to limited-edition figurines and rare manga publications that never reached international markets.
Our Mission
AnimeRareFinds is dedicated to preserving the cultural significance of anime and manga through thoughtfully curated collections and expert knowledge. We strive to:
- Source authentic, rare items directly from Japan
- Educate collectors about the historical and artistic value of anime artifacts
- Connect passionate collectors with their dream items
- Preserve the legacy of classic anime through proper authentication and documentation
- Support the anime community through events, knowledge sharing, and ethical collecting practices
